1. What is a School Resource Center?
Pusat Sumber Sekolah (PSS) is an integrated information access service center that contains various educational resources in the form of printed, non-printed and digital materials. PSS needs to be managed systematically and efficiently for the purpose of fostering reading habits, information literacy and lifelong learning in line with the aspirations of the National Education Philosophy.
2. What is the School Resource Center policy?
The School Resource Center Management Policy was created to ensure that the School Resource Center has a collection that meets standards and is up-to-date, managed efficiently and effectively, and used optimally to improve the quality of the teaching and learning process.
The PSS Policy Implementation Strategy is as follows:
• Ensure that the School Resource Center has appropriate physical facilities and infrastructure and fulfills its functions and roles.
• Ensure that the School Resource Center has a collection of up-to-date and up-to-date materials.
• Ensure that the School Resource Center is managed efficiently and effectively in accordance with current information technology advances.
• Ensure that the School Resource Center is managed by Library and Media Teachers who meet the eligibility requirements and criteria set out in the current circular.
• Ensure that the School Resource Center constantly increases efforts to implement reading and information literacy promotion activities in improving the quality of the teaching and learning process.
3. What is the objective of the School Resource Center?
• Provide services and learning resources in various formats to enable all school members to become effective users of information and critical thinkers
• Provide services in a responsible, fair and equitable manner to all school members
• Improve student achievement levels in reading, information literacy, learning, problem solving and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills
• Give birth to the best individuals who practice lifelong learning

5. What is the function of the School Resource Center?
• Planning and managing acquisitions to build a comprehensive, balanced and up-to-date collection that is in line with curriculum requirements and meets the needs of the school community.
• Providing information access facilities and services for individual or group use.
• Provide guidance and skills to school members related to the process of searching, producing and using information.
• Provide facilities, equipment and materials so that they are always in good condition and working.
• Forge smart partnerships and strategic networks with various agencies to improve service quality.
