21ST CENTURY LEARNING:
PRACTICE AND IMPLEMENTATION IN SCHOOL
The appearance and form of education that is suitable for the 21st century generation has been talked about a lot and there are many written materials that comment on education that is able to meet the expectations and educational needs of the present and the future. Average education experts agree that teaching and learning methods need to change in accordance with the development of cyber technology and access to the increasingly advanced internet. Conventional teaching methods such as "chalk and talk" are simply not successful in attracting students' interest, but instead require more dynamic and creative methods with relevant teaching content in accordance with current developments.
All parties involved directly with the world of education need to realize that there is no room to not participate in implementing the transformation of education. In fact, changes in education must always be in line with the development of the times or a step forward. Teachers need to be ready to accept change and be able to manage change efficiently and effectively so that teaching and learning become fresher and meet the needs of students.
Realizing the importance of teaching and learning and being ready to make changes in accordance with the teacher 21st century learning, the Malaysian Ministry of Education launched the 21st century learning initiative on a pilot basis in 2014 and expanded the implementation throughout the country starting in 2015. Therefore this issue of NJAKAN will discuss 21st century learning and share information on several layout models 21st century class in line with the efforts of the Malaysian Ministry of Education to implement education transformation through the Malaysian Education Development Plan (PPPM) 2013 - 2025.
